Structural Engineering Institute - Announcements and Opportunities

Application deadline SEI Fellow has been extended to December 14
A message from Donna L. Friis, P.E., F.S, M.ASCE
SEI created the SEI Fellow grade of membership this year, and is looking for accomplished SEI members to advance to the grade of SEI Fellow. I am focusing my efforts on encouraging the best and brightest technical leaders to apply. Please visit the SEI Fellow page to review benefits, requirements, and to apply online as I believe you would make a great candidate. Or encourage a colleague to apply, and nominate or serve as a reference for them. I would be honored to help you champion our members to become SEI Fellows - let me know how I may assist.
SEI Chapters: One of the benefits of being an SEI Chapter is the ability to nominate an applicant for SEI Fellow. Please consider nominating someone you think is missing from the list of SEI Fellows!

Completed application packages are due December 14 (extended from December 1 deadline) and include:

  • online application
  • online nomination by an SEI Organizational Entity (SEI Board of Governors, SEI Divisions, Committees, Chapters).
  • three online references: 2 from SEI Fellows, and one from an SEI Fellow or Member.

SEI and ASCE Continuing Education are pleased to present these NEW Structural Webinars:

Webinars are live interactive learning experiences. All you need is a computer with high-speed internet access and a phone. These events feature an expert speaker on practice-oriented technical and management topics relevant to civil engineers.

Pay a single site fee and provide training for an unlimited number of engineers at that site for one low fee, and no cost or lost time for travel and lodging. ASCE instructors deliver the training to your location, with minimal disruption in workflow –- ideal for brown-bag lunch training.

ASCE Webinars are completed in 60 - 90 minutes – and staff can earn one or more PDHs for each Webinar.
